A doctor of Internal Medicine, or Internist, is usually the first doctor that a patient sees when they are not feeling well. Because an Internist is trained to handle a broad spectrum of illnesses that can occur, as well as identify situations where several different illnesses may strike at once, patients with multiple problems are typically treated by an Internist. Our level of training and years of experience in Internal Medicine uniquely qualify us to practice primary care. For the reasons stated, we at Jack R. Milligan, M.D. view Internal Medicine as the first line of defense in the prevention of illness and the advancement of healthy wellbeing: body, mind and spirit.
In a family environment, our ultimate mission is to work with each patient in an atmosphere of empathy and comfort to advance disease prevention and sustain wellness — including mental health and substance abuse. We accomplish our mission by dedicating our lives to providing state-of-the-art compassionate and comprehensive care. Our reward is a heartfelt life-long relationship with each patient.
We welcome you to come join our family at Jack R. Milligan, M.D. and we hope to see you soon!
